Prithvi II and Dhanush
Prithvi III and Dhanush:
The following report on the test fires of Prithvi II and Dhanush in the Hindu is a good note on the above mentioned missiles system. DRDO achievements remain an important topic in General Studies papers at both the stages i.e. Prelims and and Mains. It also includes the names of important officials associated with the different DRDO projects. The Indian personalities section contains such names which are generally not part of active consciousness of general people. Hence, as a discerning aspirants and part of serious preparation, one should should must develop a list of such people who are contributing the development of Indian defense as well as Indian economy whether they are government officials or individual entrepreneurs.

Tessy Thomas: Missile Woman of India
It is not official yet but as per the report link given below, Tessy Thomas is going to head the Agni-V project, which will give target range of 5000 km.
The report contains a journalistic way of a profile of a person. Hence, a short note can be discreetly developed out of it.
Remember, Women achievers from India continue to appear in the question papers of prelims as well as GS Mains. In Mains, it can get you assured 2 marks or 15 marks and in Prelims, a set may give you one correct answer.
It is to be repeated that it is a report and official declaration has yet to appear.
