"Global Zero" policy
The twentieth Century world backed Nuclear deterrance was promoted as the right policy to maintain the world peace.
With Obama, came the vision of Global Zero policy to maintain the world peace with a world without nuclear weapons has emerged as a new world theory of peace.

Civil Nuclear Energy Pacts receive land in India
The peaceful use of nuclear energy is an important issue. After ending the isolation of India on this issue, India is receiving technology and material for peaceful use of nuclear energy. In the process, India has signed pacts with seven countries. The report hitched below is containing details about the different sites in India where different countries with which India is now having pacts are going to have nuclear energy plants.
A good note on it can be useful for 2010. It is a type of SURE question at least in 2010 Prelims.

Neutrino Observatory (DEC Project) will be Niligiris Tamil Nadu
The INO is one of the most prestigious scientific project in India. Neutrino is the sub atomic part which is under research of physcist and holds the key to numerous questions on the origin of the universe.

Large Hadron Collider (LHC) Experiment
Scientists Will Play God In A Tunnel Near Geneva
The European Organization of Nuclear Research (CERN) will conduct its largest experiment in Large Hadron Collider (LHC) on September 10, 2008, Wednesday.
The Times of India Report studies the Indian participation in the above mentioned experiment. It further explains many of the terms and facts associated with the experiment like it is going to continue for weeks together after September 10 or how there will be creation of Black Holes for the billionth part of a nano second and so on.
The Atlas Experiment of The Times Online is another article which studies some additional dimension of the experiment.
