What is cloud computing?
The Cloud Computing is associated with the service provided over the internet wherein a user make use of different set of softwares and services over the network without having the required expertise to use them.
It is an emerging trend and associated mainly with the IT field. It is a new computing paradigm. It is a useful term for notes for GS Mains 2009.

One can also use the following report to develop ones notes on cloud computing. It has also taken up the issue of Virtualization which makes it more technical.
Cloud is an operation Model.
I must admit that I myself do not understand some of the issue raised in the report. Therefore, do not press me to gives detailed notes on it. Computer education students, kindly excuse. It is a Civil Services Preparation blog not a Computer Science or IT studies blog.
