River Potomac falls in Chesapeake Bay. Washington D. C. stands at the confluence of Potomac and Anacostia rivers. Potomac forms the boundary between Maryland and West Virginia and District of Colombia and Maryland. Large ships can go up to Washington D. C. on this river. Washington D. C. is a district and capital of Unites States of America. It was established in 1800.
River Spree started from the boarder of Czech Republic. It travels for 400 km and passes through Berlin before joining with Havel River at Spandau. The river is connected with River Havel and Oder River by canals. Berlin is a capital city of united Germany since 1990. It is situated on River Spree which the further joined with Baltic sea.
River Manzanares passes through Madrid. Madrid city, part of province of Madrid is also capital of Spain. Another river by the same name falls in Caribbean Sea in South America.
River Seine starts from Plateau of Langres and falls in English Channel. It is a navigable river which runs for 776 km. The river is crossed over by 27 bridges in area of Paris. In 1991, it banks in Central Paris is given the status of World Heritage site by UNESCO. The left bank of river in Paris is famous cultural and educational centre of France and known world over. Paris is a capital city of France. It is also called the ‘city of light’ suggesting that it is a centre of all the decisions making in France.
