What is BIMSTEC
BIMSTEC stands for Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation.
The Member Countries are Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand sharing the Bay of Bengal.
The present chairman is Myanmar. In 2009, India was the chairman. In 2008, Bangladesh was the chairman.
