World Economic Forum

World Economic Forum holds annual meeting every January. It is also popular as Davos.
Presently, when the world is passing through recession and there are layoffs and lot of pink slips, the issue which are addressed at the meeting will definitely attract the attention world over. A brief study of this non-profit foundation can be a right course of becoming aware as a candidate of a civil services should.
I believe, when the net is becoming a good tool (in 2005 when I started it, it was categorically stated that it was not all that good idea.), one should use following links to develop a quick picture on this forum. (A small crash course in economics for non-economics candidates)

Sources to be studied:
World Economic Forum - Home
Caution: It has a live webcast. If you are using slow connection then it may disrupt your browsing. It is the official site. Study the history section

BBC report before the beginning of the summit. It is useful as it pin points the issue that are to be watched after the summit.
