T. Pardeep is Professor, Department of Chemistry and Sophisticated Analytical Instrument Facility at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, Chennai. He heads Department of Science and Technology (DST) unit on Nanoscience in IIT Madras.
His discoveries in the field of Nanoscience have helped in developing filter for pesticide removal.
He is M. Sc from Calicut University. He did his doctorate from IISc. Banglore. He was post doctoral fellow with Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, Berkeley and Purude University, Indiana. He is interested in making teaching aids and writing in Malayalam.
He has been awarded Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar Award (Chemical Sciences), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, 2008.
The prize consists of Rs. 5 lakhs, a citation and a plaque. It is otherwise a big honour in the field of science within India.
