President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan will be the Chief Guest at the Republic Day of India in January 2009. It is the 60th Republic Day of India. The first Republic Day was in 1950.
India and Kazakhstan are interested in Civil Nuclear Deal. Kazakhstan will be the fourth such country after US, France and Russia with whom she will have Civil Nuclear cooperation.
Kazakshstan is the country with the second largest reserve of Uranium.
Additional Information: French President Nicholas Sarkozy was the chief quest in 2008 Republic Day. It was the 59th Republic Day.
President Vladimir Putin of Russian Federation was chief quest in 2007 on 58th Republic Day of India.
